Summer of the Swans: Part One

Two years ago, I created a post called A Couple of Wednesdays in July, about the mission calls of my son Danny and my daughter Hannah. You can read (or re-read) it by clicking here.

Now that two years have passed, I am posting about them coming home.

Sister Hannah Spencer served for 18 months in the Philippines Cauayan mission. She was an outstanding missionary, loved by her companions and the people she taught.

She arrived at the Salt Lake City airport on June 4th, just as I was finally getting close to knowing how to spell the name of the place where she was.

It was wonderful to see Hannah again. She is a beautiful young lady, on both the inside and the outside.

After we left the airport, we stopped to get some dinner, and enjoyed catching up a little.

It was a wonderful day, and a very long day for Hannah. She came home pretty tired.

And she wasn't the only one.
